Rose-Water

Ingredients

  • 12 drops attar of rose
  • 1/2 ounce of white sugar
  • 2 drachms carbonate magnesia
  • 1 quart of water
  • 2 ounces of proof spirit

Instructions

Preferable to the distilled for a perfume, or for culinary purposes. Attar of rose, rub it up with white sugar and carbonate magnesia; then add gradually water and proof spirit, and filter through paper.
