Plain Crumpets

Ingredients

  • 1 quart of sifted flour, loosely measured
  • 2 heaping teaspoonfuls baking powder
  • salt
  • 2 tablespoonfuls of melted butter
  • sweet milk

Instructions

Mix together thoroughly while dry sifted flour, baking powder and a little salt; then add melted butter and sweet milk enough to make a thin dough. Bake quickly in muffin-rings or patty-pans.
