Graham Bread (Unfermented)

Ingredients

  • 3 heaping teaspoonfuls of baking powder
  • 3 cups of Graham flour
  • 1 cup of white flour
  • 1 large teaspoonful of salt
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • milk or water

Instructions

Stir together baking powder, Graham flour and white flour; then add salt and sugar. Mix all thoroughly with milk or water into as stiff a batter as can be stirred with a spoon. If water is used, a lump of butter as large as a walnut may be melted and stirred into it. Bake immediately in well-greased pans.
