Citron Cake
Ingredients
- 3 cups of white sugar
- 1 cup of butter, creamed with sugar
- 1 cup of sweet milk
- 6 eggs, whites and yolks beaten separately
- 1 teaspoonful of vanilla or lemon extract
- 2 heaping teaspoonfuls of baking powder, sifted with flour
- 4 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 1/2 cups of citron, sliced thin and dredged with flour
Instructions
Divide into two cakes and bake in tins lined with buttered letter paper.
