Blacking

Ingredients

• 1/4 pound of ivory black
• 2 ounces of sugar candy
• 1/4 ounce of gum tragacanth
• 1 bottle of porter

Instructions

Pound the ivory black, sugar candy, gum tragacanth all very fine, boil the porter, and stir the ingredients in while boiling hot.
