Potage Macédoine


  • thin pieces of ham
  • 3 turnips
  • 3 potatoes
  • 3 onions
  • stock
  • pepper
  • salt
  • 1 quart of milk


Place the ham in the bottom of a saucepan and then put in the turnips, potatoes and onions, all cut up small. Pour in some stock, season with pepper and salt and simmer till the ham and vegetables are cooked. Add the milk and bring almost to a boil, strain and serve immediately.
