Muffin or Shortcake Dough

Ingredients

  • 2 pints of flour
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pint of sweet milk
  • 3 teaspoons of baking powder

Instructions

Bake in a quick oven in muffin rings, or drop the dough from the end of your spoon as you do for drop cake. To be eaten hot. Try with a broom splint, as cake. Enough for four or five large persons.
