Marble Cake
Light Part
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sweet milk
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon cream tartar
- whites of 4 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups flour
Dark Part
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon cream tartar
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- yolks of 4 eggs
- 1/2 tablespoon of ground cloves
- 1/2 tablespoon of allspice
- 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 tablespoon of nutmeg
Instructions
When both parts are ready, drop a spoon of light and then one of dark in the pan.
