Lemon Jelly Cake
Ingredients
- yolks of 3 eggs
- 1 cup of sugar, well beaten
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 heaped teaspoon of baking powder
- about 1/2 cup of water
- a little salt
- whites of 3 eggs, well beaten
Jelly
- juice and grated rind of 1 lemon
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of corn starch dissolved in part of the water
Instructions
Put all together, and boil in a pail of water until it thickens.
