Fig Filling for Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound of chopped figs
  • 1/4 cupful of water
  • 1/2 cupful of sugar

Instructions

Stew figs in a syrup made of water and sugar. Spread this when it is quite thick. It is excellent. Another nice filling may be made by using raisins instead of figs, treating them in the same way.
