Cottage Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1 tablespoonful of butter

Instructions

Bake as a cake, and serve with sauce.

Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoonfuls butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour, wet in cold water
  • 1 pint of boiling water

Instructions

Let boil two or three minutes, stirring all the time. Flavor with lemon.
