Chopped Pickle

Ingredients

  • 1 peck green tomatoes
  • 12 red sweet peppers, chopped fine
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 bunch celery chopped fine
  • 1 pint grated horseradish
  • 1 teacupful cloves
  • 1 teacupful black mustard seed
  • salt to taste
  • 1 pint or more very small cucumbers, or 6 ordinary cucumbers cut into small strips
  • cold cider vinegar

Instructions

Cover tomatoes and peppers with salt water; let stand twenty-four hours; drain dry; add cabbage, celery, horseradish, cloves, black mustard seed, salt to taste, cucumbers; cover with cold cider vinegar. If desired to keep, seal in self sealers.
