Chopped Pickle
Ingredients
- 1 peck green tomatoes
- 12 red sweet peppers, chopped fine
- 1 head cabbage
- 1 bunch celery chopped fine
- 1 pint grated horseradish
- 1 teacupful cloves
- 1 teacupful black mustard seed
- salt to taste
- 1 pint or more very small cucumbers, or 6 ordinary cucumbers cut into small strips
- cold cider vinegar
Instructions
Cover tomatoes and peppers with salt water; let stand twenty-four hours; drain dry; add cabbage, celery, horseradish, cloves, black mustard seed, salt to taste, cucumbers; cover with cold cider vinegar. If desired to keep, seal in self sealers.
