Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2/3 cup butter
- 1 teaspoonful vanilla
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 3 level teaspoonfuls baking powder
- whites of 5 eggs, well beaten

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup milk (or a little more)
- 1 lump of butter the size of a walnut
- 1 teaspoonful vanilla
Instructions
Boil until waxy; remove from fire; beat until stiff. Spread melted chocolate on bottom and top of layers, and put the cream icing between.
