Boston Brown Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pints sour milk
  • 1 cup baking molasses
  • 1 scant teaspoon soda in each, foam separately
  • 4 cups graham flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Put in one pound baking powder cans; steam two and one-half hours, and bake half hour.
