Blackberry Jam Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup jam
  • 1/2 cup seeded raisins
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 4 tablespoons sweet milk
  • 1 teaspoonful cinnamon
  • 1/2 nutmeg

Instructions

Bake like jelly cake, with icing between layers.
