Yankee Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups of buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons of syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of shortening
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of whole-wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup of cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

Instructions

Place buttermilk, syrup, shortening, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl. Beat to mix and then add flour, cornmeal, and baking powder. Beat to mix and then bake on a hot gridle.
