Individual Lamb Potpies


  • lamb
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 4 onions
  • 4 potatoes cut in halves
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 green pepper, chopped fine
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce


Mince the meat left on the leg of lamb. Place in a saucepan and cover with cold water, adding carrot, onions, and potatoes. Cook slowly until the vegetables are soft; lift the onions and potatoes and thicken the gravy and season with salt, pepper, green pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Place portion of the meat, two potatoes, one onion and some gravy in individual baking dishes. Cover with a crust of pastry and bake in a moderate oven for twenty minutes.
