Ginger Ale Cup
- juice of 1 lemon
- grated rind of 1/4 lemon
- 1 cup of sugar
Place in a saucepan. Simmer slowly until the sugar melts into the syrup.
- 3 tablespoons of the prepared syrup
- 1/2 cup of shaved ice
- 1 sprig of mint
- 1/2 cup of ginger ale
Place the prepared syrup in a tall thin glass and add ice, mint, ginger ale, and fill with carbonated water.
