Bran Muffins
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups of bran
- 1 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoonful salt
- 4 tablespoonfuls syrup
- 2 tablespoonfuls shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 3/4 cups of buttermilk
- 1 teaspoonful soda
Instructions
Dissolve the soda in the buttermilk and then beat to mix.
Fill into well-greased muffin pans and bake in a moderate oven for twenty-five minutes.
Toast the left over muffins.
