Thin Corn Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cupful of Indian meal
  • 1/4 of a teaspoonful of salt
  • butter the size of an egg
  • 1 1/2 cupfuls of boiling water
  • 1 teaspoonful of sugar

Instructions

Pour the boiling water on the meal, sugar and salt. Beat thoroughly.

Add the butter, and, when well mixed, spread very thin on buttered tin sheets.

Bake slowly for about twenty minutes.
