Port Wine Sauce for Game
- 1/2 a tumbler of currant jelly
- 1/2 a tumbler of port wine
- 1/2 a tumbler of stock
- 1/2 a teaspoonful of salt
- 2 tablespoonfuls of lemon juice
- 4 cloves
- a speck of cayenne
Simmer the cloves and stock together for half an hour. Strain on the other ingredients, and let all melt together.
Part of the gravy from the game may be added to it.
