Fried Rye Muffin
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cupfuls of rye meal
- 1 1/2 cupfuls of flour
- 1 cupful of milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoonful of soda
- 2 teaspoonfuls of cream of tartar
- 2 generous tablespoonfuls of sugar
- 1/2 a teaspoonful of salt
Instructions
Put the meal in a large bowl.
Put the flour, cream of tartar, soda, sugar and salt in the sieve, and rub through on to the meal.
Beat the eggs well, add the milk to them, and stir into the dry ingredients.
Fry the same as Indian muffins.
