Chopped Pickle
Ingredients
- 1 peck of green tomatoes
- 2 quarts of onions
- 2 quarts of peppers
- 3 cupfuls of salt
- 1/2 pound of mustard seed
- 2 tablespoonfuls of ground allspice
- 2 tablespoonfuls of ground cloves
- 1 cupful of grated horse-radish
- 3 quarts of boiling vinegar
Instructions
Chop green tomatoes, onions, and peppers fine, separately, and mix, adding salt. Let them stand over night, and in the morning drain well. Add mustard seed, ground allspice, ground cloves and grated horse-radish. Pour over it boiling vinegar.
