Red Quince Marmalade. No. 1

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds of quinces
  • 2 pounds of sugar
  • 1 pint of water
  • 1/4 pint of the juice of quinces
  • 1/4 pint of the juice of barberries

Instructions

Take the quinces, sugar, water, and juice of quinces; boil it tender, and skim it well. When done enough, put into it the juice of barberries. Skim it clear as long as any thing rises.
