Green Sauce for Green Geese, or Ducklings
- 1/2 pint of the juice of sorrel
- a little grated nutmeg
- some bread crumb
- a little white wine
- scalded gooseberries
- piece of butter
Take the juice of sorrel, with the grated nutmeg, bread crumb, and white wine; boil it a quarter of an hour, and sweeten with sugar, adding scalded gooseberries and the butter.
