Curry. No. 6


  • gravy
  • 2 spoonfuls of curry-powder
  • 2 spoonfuls of soy
  • 1 gill of red wine
  • a little cayenne pepper
  • juice of a lemon
  • breast of veal


Mix together a quart of good gravy, the curry-powder, soy, red wine, cayenne pepper, and the lemon juice. Cut the veal in square pieces, and put it in a stewpan with a pint of gravy; stew slowly for a quarter of an hour; add the rest of the gravy with the ingredients, and stew till done.
