Cheese, to stew

Ingredients

• rich old cheese
• small piece of butter
• 1 spoonful of cream
• yolk of 1 egg

Instructions

Scrape some rich old cheese into a saucepan, with the butter and cream. Let it stew till it is smooth; add the yolk; give it a boil all together. Serve it up on a buttered toast, and brown it with a salamander.
