Butter Orange


  • 1 pint of the juice of oranges
  • 8 new-laid eggs
  • loaf-sugar
  • bit of butter of the size of a walnut


Take the juice and eggs beaten well together; mix and season them to your taste with loaf-sugar; then set it on the fire; keep stirring till it becomes thick; put in the butter, stirring it while on the fire; then dish it up.
