Glacé for Candies

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of sugar
  • 1/2 pint of water
  • 1/2 cup of vinegar
  • fruit, orange slices, nuts or green grapes with stems on

Instructions

Boil sugar with water until it ropes; then add vinegar and boil until it hardens. Dip in fruit, orange slices, nuts or green grapes with stems on, and put aside on a buttered platter to set.
