Coffee Filling

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of warmed-over or freshly made coffee
  • 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 cup of milk or cream
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch

Instructions

Put coffee in a small casserole, add powdered sugar, vanilla. When at boiling point (do not let it boil), add milk or cream. Then add cornstarch which has been moistened with cold water. Stir in while cooking till it is smooth and glossy. When the cake is cool, pour mixture over the layers.
