Bran Bread

Ingredients

  • 4 teaspoons of soda
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 4 cups of white flour
  • 4 cups of bran flour
  • 1 cup of molasses
  • 4 cups of sweet milk
  • chopped nuts or raisins

Instructions

Sift soda, salt with white flour, add bran flour and mix well. Add molasses and sweet milk. Use chopped nuts or raisins or both as desired. This will make three or four flat loaves. Place in greased pans (four and a half by nine inches), and bake one hour in a moderate oven.
