Banana Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 heaping tablespoonful of butter
  • 1/2 tablespoonful of flour
  • juice and grated rind of 1/2 lemon

Instructions

Rub the bananas through a fine sieve. Put the sugar in a saucepan with one cup of boiling water, add the banana pulp to it, let it come to a boil, and skim if necessary. Rub the butter with the flour, stir into it a little of the liquid, and then add to that in the saucepan; add the lemon juice and rind, and it is ready to serve.
