Corn, Rye and Whole Wheat Fruit Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/4 teaspoon soda
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup rye flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup raisins cut in halves
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 tablespoons fat

Instructions

Scald meal with boiling water, mix soda and molasses. Mix dry ingredients, mix all thoroughly. Bake in muffin pans one-half hour.
