Herb Pie


  • 1 handful of parsley
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 handful of mustard and cress
  • 2 lettuce hearts sliced fine
  • 2 small onions
  • a little butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pint of milk
  • 1/2 pound of Allinson fine wheatmeal


Chop all the vegetables up finely, and mix them with a batter made of the milk, meal, and eggs; season it with pepper and salt; mix well; pour the mixture into a buttered pie-dish, place bits of butter over the top, and bake it for 1 1/2 hours.
