Jackson Jumbles

Ingredients

  • 3 tea-cups of sugar
  • 1 tea-cup of butter
  • 5 tea-cups of flour
  • 1 tea-spoonful of salaeratus
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • peel of a fresh lemon grated
  • 1/2 wine-glass of brandy

Instructions

Take the sugar, butter, flour, salaeratus in the sour cream and the eggs; bake in a quick oven; season them with the lemon peel and brandy.
