Egg Panada


  • 1 handful of good raisins
  • 1 quart of water
  • 1 slice of bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 spoonful of sugar
  • wine
  • nutmeg
  • butter


Boil the raisins in the water; toast the bread and cut it up; beat the eggs with the sugar, and mix it with the bread; when the raisins are done, pour them on the toast and eggs, stirring all the time; season to your taste with wine, nutmeg and butter.
