Butter-milk Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of sugar
  • 1/4 pound of butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tea-cup of butter-milk
  • nutmeg or cinnamon to taste
  • flour

Instructions

Add as much flour as will make a dough that will roll out; cut in round cakes and bake with a quick heat.
