Baked Pudding


  • 1 quart of milk
  • 1/2 pint of corn meal
  • 1 tea-spoonful of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tea-cup of chopped suet
  • 2 table-spoonsful of sugar
  • spice


Boil the milk, and stir into it the corn meal and salt; mix this well together; beat the eggs, stir in when nearly cold; add the suet, sugar, a little spice; grease a pan, and pour it in; bake three-quarters of an hour. Eat it with sugar and cream, or molasses sauce.
