Egg Nog

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 quart of rich milk, or thin cream
  • 1/2 pound of sugar
  • 1/2 pint of rum or brandy
  • 1 grated nutmeg

Instructions

Beat separately the yolks and whites of the eggs. Stir the yolks into the milk, and add sugar. Then mix in rum or brandy. Flavour it with nutmeg. Lastly, stir in gently the beaten white of an egg.

It should be mixed in a china bowl.
