Strawberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoonfuls cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • rind of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup strawberry juice
  • a little Rhine wine or claret
  • sugar

Instructions

Boil in a saucepan the cornstarch in the water with the rind; take it from the fire, add the strawberry juice, a little Rhine wine or claret and sweeten with sugar.
