Fig Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound finely chopped suet
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pint milk
  • 1/2 pound figs cut into pieces
  • 1 pound flour
  • 3 teaspoonfuls baking powder
  • 1 teaspoonful salt
  • 2 tablespoonfuls sugar

Instructions

Mix flour and baking powder together, add suet, eggs, salt, the figs and mix it with the milk into a stiff batter; add the sugar, fill the mixture into a well buttered pudding form and boil 2 hours; serve with hard or wine sauce.
