Claret Sauce, No. 2

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoonful cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • piece of cinnamon
  • a few slices of lemon
  • 1/2 pint claret
  • sugar

Instructions

Boil the cornstarch in the water, with the cinnamon and lemon, for a few minutes; then remove from the fire; add the claret and sugar to taste.
