Romaine Salad Dressing


  • 1/2 ounce of onion
  • 1 teaspoonful of lemon juice
  • 1 saltspoonful salt
  • 1 saltspoonful of powdered sugar
  • 1 level saltspoonful of white pepper
  • 1 level saltspoonful of dry mustard
  • 3 tablespoonfuls of oil
  • 1 tablespoonful of vinegar


Grate the onion, mix it with the lemon juice, salt, powdered sugar, white pepper, and dry mustard, then gradually add the oil and vinegar. Use for lettuce or tomato salad.
