Oil Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 shallot or 2 button onions
  • yolks of 2 hard boiled eggs
  • 1 saltspoonful of herbs
  • 1 tablespoonful of vinegar
  • about 1 gill of oil

Instructions

Pound in a mortar the shallot or button onions, the yolks, herbs, vinegar, and enough oil to thicken it.
