Jelly for Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 small cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • grated rind and juice of 1 lemon or orange
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon flour

Instructions

Place the dish in a kettle of boiling water and let it thicken. When cool spread between the cakes. This is very nice for any layer cake.
