Griddle Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup stale bread crumbs
  • 2 cups of water
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 yeast cake
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • milk

Instructions

The bread crumbs soaked in the water, flour, yeast cake to start. Let it rise over night; in the morning add the eggs and soda, and milk to form a thin batter. The batter left can be used successive mornings, the same as buckwheats.
