Dandy Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 quart sweet milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • yolks of 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

Beat the cornstarch and sugar together, and stir into the milk when boiling; stir until it thickens and is smooth. Flavor with the vanilla. Butter the pudding dish. Beat the whites of the eggs to a stiff froth with a little pulverized sugar, pour on the top, put in the oven and bake.
