Uncooked Chili Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 peck of ripe tomatoes
  • 2 cups skinned and chopped onions
  • 2 cups chopped celery
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup salt
  • 4 tablespoons white mustard seed
  • 2 teaspoons ground cloves
  • 6 or 8 red peppers chopped fine
  • 2 teaspoons of ground black pepper
  • 1 quart of pure vinegar

Instructions

Skin the tomatoes and chop them fine, add the onions, celery, sugar, salt, white mustard seed, cloves, red peppers, ground black pepper and vinegar. Seal in air tight bottle.
