Fruit Nectar


  • 3 lemons
  • 1 pound of chopped raisins
  • 1 1/2 pounds of sugar
  • 2 gallons of boiling water


Put the thinly sliced rind of the lemons in a jar with the raisins and sugar. Pour the boiling water over it. When cold add juice of lemons and let stand in a cold place for a week, stirring it every day. Strain through a jelly bag until clear, then seal in bottles.
