Stewed Pears

Ingredients

  • hard baking pears
  • 1/2 pint of sugar
  • 1/2 pint of water
  • 1 heaping teaspoonful of molasses

Instructions

Prick hard baking pears with a fork in half a dozen places, and with them fill a small stoneware jar. Add the sugar, water, and molasses. Cover tightly, and bake all night as directed for apple sauce.
